I'd like to gather information about the great American writer William Faulkner. He impressed me greatly! I haven't ever heard such a deep and really spiritual speech. He really had a purpose for writting and understand his importance for readers. Moreover, his thoughts and opinions are very close to my mind!

"The aim of every artist is to arrest motion, which is life, by artificial means and hold it fixed so that a hundred years later, when a stranger looks at it, it moves again since it is life. Since man is mortal, the only immortality possible for him is to leave something behind him that is immortal since it will always move. This is the artist’s way of scribbling “Kilroy was here” on the wall of the final and irrevocable oblivion through which he must someday pass."

Olga, great!
I am really happy you have chosen William Faulkner. I am also grateful for you contributing so much to the heated discussion we had on his story "Dry September". I totally enjoyed it. How about you?

If I were you, I would provide a link to the web site where you have located the Faulkner's Banquet Speech. On the one hand, I am sure your readers would appreciate it, because it enables them to surf hurdle-free. On the other hand, it demonstrates that you respect copyright and acknowledge any source that you use.

Best of luck in your research,
A.V.

Oops, I just spotted a typo in my comment. My advice to all of you is to doublecheck your comments. Unlike posts, they can't be editted.

So, the correct variant would be: "I am grateful to you, Olga, for your contributing to the dicussion".

Wishing you mistake-proof web publishing,
A.V.
